Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Shoshkes Labs ("we", "us") is a small studio that builds focused apps, including SmartWallet, ResearchAgent, Kotoba Lens, icdcheck and Smart Job Agent. This policy covers this website and our apps. Where an app works differently, its section below says so.

Our default is simple: if we do not need your data, we do not collect it. Most of what you put into our apps stays on your device.

2. This website

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use these only to reply to you, and to invite you to test an app if you asked to.

The website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic statistics (page views and general device type) to see which pages are useful. It does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

3. SmartWallet

SmartWallet never asks for card numbers, security codes, bank logins or account linking, and has no accounts or email sign-up. It contains no analytics or ad tracking.

Your wallet, notes and credits are stored on your device. We cannot see them.

Your location is used only when you press “Find Store via GPS” and agree, to look up nearby stores. We do not store it.

Feedback is sent to us only when you choose to send it, and contains only what you write.

The app is free. Revenue comes only from card referral links on a screen you open yourself, always labelled “We may earn a commission”. If you follow one, the card issuer’s own privacy policy applies on their site. Rankings never see those links.

4. Our other apps

ResearchAgent runs on your own machine. It sends your keywords to public scholarly sources such as OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar and arXiv to find papers. If you choose the web version through Google Colab with Gemini, your inputs are processed under Google’s terms instead.

icdcheck opens no network connections. The documents you check never leave your computer.

Smart Job Agent runs on your own hardware and keeps your profile and data local. It fetches public job postings and employer information, and sends digests only to the channels you set up, such as Telegram.

Kotoba Lens is still being built. Before it is released, we will publish here exactly what it processes, where, and why.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. Contact messages are handled by the hosting and email providers we use to run this website, only so we can receive and answer them. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Retention

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to answer them and follow up on testing you asked about. Data stored inside an app on your device is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Children

Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Your choices and contact

You can ask us to see, correct or delete anything you have sent us at [email protected]. If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
